“My Hamster Rational”

It was January fifth.  It was our first day back from winter break. We were discussing our journal when Mr. McNanna said, “Do you think animals are part of a family occasion?” We all said “yes”. Then Mr. McNanna told us that we might get a hamster as a class pet. Then he told us we have to create a plan for taking care of it and have Mr. Majeski approve. I think we should get the hamster because it will teach us a lot of respect and responsibility. Also it will be a good motivator for us to want to come to school, and it will be very fun. We did some research with an article teaching us about   hamsters. This article taught us how to choose its environment, how to pick it up, how to keep it healthy, and what to do if it escapes. Persuing this further, in this essay I am going to tell you why we should get a hamster.

Generally, there are many benefits of having a class pet. First it is a good motivator. It’s a good motivator because it makes us want to come to come to school. That leads us to the second benefit: it is fun. It is fun because we can play with it, and it would make a good pet. My brother has a Guinea Pig and it is really fun. Finally, it will teach us a lot of things like respect and responsibility. It is a big responsibility because I need to put time into it, feed it, clean its cage, etc. also its life depends on who takes care of it. It will teach us that because it is a downright big responsibility. Also, it will be important to learn that because one day we will have to take care of something big and it won’t suddenly pelt me that I cant take care of it. In other words it’s a big benefit to have a class pet.

Basically, there are three factors to consider when choosing a hamster. First you need to give it exercise. Some ways you could do that are to buy it a running wheel (make sure it has a flat bottom because  the ones with bars could be a hazard to the hamster). Secondly, you need to give it food and water. A good water system is a water bottle with a dispenser. You will also need to provide food every day. Finally, before you purchase a hamster make sure it is healthy. You can tell  if it is healthy by its demeaner and condition. Do not get one that is quiet or lethargic. Because hamsters are nocturnal, it might be easier to test in the evening. The hamster should still respond even during the day. Point in fact be carefull when you choose your hamster.

Additionally, having a hamster is a big responsibility. First, you need to play with it. If you don’t play with it, it will grow up to not want to play, and you will have a hard time picking it up. Secondly, you will need to provide certified hamster food and clean water. You should also give it treats to keep it happy. If you do not feed the hamster, it will die. Finally, you need to provide a proper lifestyle. When you get your hamster, you will need a hamster cage, bedding, an exercise wheel, and a hut. Don’t leave your hamster in direct sunlight or near noise because your hamster will be bothered. Make sure your hamster is happy with its new lifestyle. In other words hamsters need care and take responsibility.

In final consideration, I like animals because they are very fun and motivating. I used to have a dog and it lived for 18 years because we took so much good care of it. I also have a healthy four year old lizard. I think I can take care of a hamster really well. I think so because I can take good care of my lizard and I took really good care of  my  old dog. In final consideration, a hamster would be really fun, motivating, and it would teach us a lot.

HAMSTER RATIONALE

The first day back at school after the break we discussed about getting a class pet and the 8th graders chose a hamster. We read an article that Mr. McNanna made for us. We read the rest of it for homework and discussed more in class. Before we can even get the hamster we need Mr. Majeski’s approval first. I think we should get a hamster because it teaches responsibility respect and they are so loveable. In order to get a hamster we read an article on hamsters and how to take care of them. Furthermore ,I am going tell you what its like to take care of a hamster andwhy we should have one.

Generally there are many benefits of a class hamster. First its fun because hamsters are great pets to have around. It will be fun because we can play with it on the floor when the hamster needs some time out of its cage. Second they are the cutest thing youv’e ever seen. They are very cute like my dog and cat who pretty much hate each other. Who knows maybe it cuteness is the same as its brood.  Last but not least it’s a substantial responsibility. You need to work hard to take care of this hmster and pro vide its food which is indispensable.

There are many factor to consider when choosing a hamster. It very important to make sure that your hamster is healthy and active. You want to check up on it at night because that is when it is most active and when needs food and water. You need to make sure it has food and water everyday to make sure its not sick. Am I ready to feed it? The thing you need to consider is to make sure it has the perfect cage. You can use a glass cage a medal and an aquarium. I would choose the glass cage because then the hamster can climb and have fun.

Nevertheless there are many responsibilities before being a hamster owner. Before you get your hamster buy its food so if its hungry when you get it can eat when it gets to its new home. The second most important thing before getting a hamster you must be prepared for it. Make its cage, its water, it food and get its exercise equipment. Last make sure that your hamster is healthy and active. Therefore, you now know your hamster  most be healthy, alert active and it must be very cute.

Therefore taking care of a hamster is a big responsibility even for me. I think we should get a hamster because they are fun it will teach us responsibility and respect. I like hamsters and other animals because they are lovable and fun to have around. I know what its like to take of an animal because I two pets a at and a dog who I love so much.

Hamster Article

We read a hamster article on January the 5th and stated the important facts about taking care of a hamster. So it was the 8th graders desigtion to get a class pet, and they chose a hamster. And Mr. Majeski I am just wondering if my commarts class could get a hamster for a class pet. I think we should get a class pet because it is really educational and it teaches responsibility. Also it’s fun. To prepare for this responsibility, we will do as much research as we can to take care of this hamster. In addition, I am going to tell you how I will take care of this hamster.

In the first place, there are many benefits of a class hamster. It teaches you responsibility and how to take care of a hamster. It’s important to take care of a pet because possibly you might have a kid and you’re going to have to take care of him/her. Also,  it fun because you can play with it by giving it a ball to put it in so it could run around without injury.  It’s also educational because we are also taking care of a hamster and saving its life.   So for instance, they love to exercise.   When the hamster Is exercising it feels good because your doing something right.

Furthermore, there are many factors to get a hamster. The first thing I will consider to take care of this hamster to check its health by checking its breathing. If it’s active and curious then it’s healthy. You would also have to know what kind of shelter it needs.  There are three types of cadges for the hamster wire plastic aquarium. I would much prefer the wire cadge its much more entertaining for the hamster. Last but not least food for a hamster is corn seeds and sunflower seeds. And I know because I grew up with hamsters in my life and they loved the food I gave them and the bedding and they loved there cadge to.

Consequently, I would take care of this hamster by feeding it giving it exercise and a lot of sleep. I will put a wheel in the cadge and let the hamster exercise as much as he wants and for exercising outside of his cadge I will put him in a plastic ball so he can run around.    We have to work as a team and feed it

Lastly, I think we should get a hamster. The reason why I like animals is because I was bourn with hamsters I my life I had 23 hamsters. They are fun they can do  very cool tricks. They make me happy because its funny when hamsters run on the wheel there little feet are running fast.
